Marline is the owner of Hearts Empowerment Counseling Center and is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who specializes in individual, family and group therapy with adolescents, young adults, and families. Marline has 13 years of experience working with individuals with depression, anxiety, trauma and relationship issues. She practices therapy from a humanistic approach - focusing on supporting the client to understand his or her fullest potential.
Marline has extensive experience in the area of trauma, specifically with adolescents and young adult women. She has completed training in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which has provided her with resources and tools to help her clients heal and develop a sense of self, trust, purpose, and meaning. In addition, she has completed a certificate program in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction for teens. Marline utilizes various therapeutic approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Psychodynamic Therapy and Humanistic Therapy.
Marline is a member of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) and the Penn State Alumni Association. In 2016, she was recognized by the White House as a Nominated Changemaker for the United State of The Women Summit in Washington D.C. She is also the Founder and Executive Director of Far More Precious Incorporated which provides personal and professional development workshops and academic scholarships to adolescent girls.
